Busy Girl!

Addy has been a very busy girl this past week. Her cousins Skye and Alexis came to visit from Utah. Skye loved to play with Addy and just sit and watch her. We also took Addison to Lake Roosevelt on Monday. She wasn't very fond of the water because it was really cold. She just sat with mom on the bank and watched everyone else enjoy swimming. She also learned to roll over from her belly to back on Tuesday. She is getting very close to going from back to belly. She can roll up on her side, but she can't quite figure out how to get her arm out of the way so she can get all the way over. She can also scoot herself pretty far when I put her on her tummy. She just a mobile little girl, and we love it!

Jamey is starting to apply for permanent jobs. I am very excited for the prospect of having a more stable life. I am having a hard time not knowing what the future holds for us. We are both enjoying ourselves in Washington but would love to be closer to home. We are looking into several Federal jobs including the Border Patrol and the Forest Service. I would like for Jamey to work for the Forest service because it seems to be less dangerous and would make me less stressed, but Jamey is leaning toward the Border Patrol becuase he loves the prospect of carrying a gun at work. I'm not too keen on the idea of living in southern Texas or Arizona or California. We're hoping to find something in Colorado that is suitable for both of us in the near near future.

Laughing

Addy started to laugh this past week. Jamey has made her laugh a few times, but she thinks that her uncle Corey is hilarious and he can get her going really good. She cracks up when he tries to scare her. I have yet to make her laugh, but I know my time will come.

We are really excited for her cousins to get here next week.

A New Toy

Addy's favorite new toys are her blankets. She loves to cover her face with them and play peek-a-boo. She also loves to eat them.

Fun at the lake

Jamey had Monday off so we decided to leave Addy with Mamaw and take CC to the lake for a swim. We had fun even though the water temp was around 55 degrees. CC was a little scared to go in the water passed where she could stand, but she's crazy about fetching sticks and she soon got over her fear and was swimming everywhere.

Fireworks

Last night for the 4th we took Addy to see the fireworks at the fairground. I was a little apprehensive about her reaction, but she loved them. She couldn't get enough of the bright lights. We were very excited that she enjoyed it so much.
