For those of you who know me well, you understand that I have to have things in a certain order and that disorder makes me uncomfortable. For the past few weeks our life has been up in the air. Jamey's job was in limbo and we had no clue what we were going to do once the job wrapped up here. As you can imagine, I have been a little anxious as to what the future holds for us.
This week, Jamey spoke to his boss and found out that his job here will be in effect until December. This has given me great comfort. We now had a few more months to figure out what to do. Seeing as the Border Patrol option didn't work out for us, we had to come up with a new plan. Jamey began looking into Seasonal Law Enforcement programs. These programs are generally 9-15 weeks long and once he completes the course, he can work for many federal agency during the summer season as a Law Enforcement Officer. He is looking into two different programs. The first is in Mt. Vernon, Washington and lasts for 15 weeks. The other is in Rangely, Colorado and is a 9 week program. We're leaning more toward the Rangely program.
After he is out of the program, he's going to be applying for a job at Priest Lake, Idaho. He would be doing much the same thing as he doing now, but he'd be working for the Forest Service and he'd be a commissioned officer so he could write tickets and such. He's really excited about this!
Hopefully, everything will work out for us. I'll keep you updated.
