Play dates

Although they spend 4 or 5 days a week together, Addy and Lucy still love to have play dates at our house on my days off!

Conversations with Addy

My daughter is a very interesting character. She comes up with some of the oddest things to say, and sometimes (when I'm really lucky) she is an absolute sweetheart.

Addy (while watching a dog food commercial)- aaaww i want a puppy
Me- Ad, we have to move to a new house before we can get a puppy
Addy- Let's go, right now!

Addy's dinner prayer: "dear hebnly fodder, thanks for my candy candy (candy cane). please bless the food to be good. amen"

Addy- "mom, you a ranger?"
Me- "not anymore Ad"
Addy- "oh, daddy dresses up like a ranger. he works at danger rope"

Jamey: Addy you are not the boss.
Addy: Yes, I am
Jamey: You need to understand that you are not
Addy: Mommy, the boss?
Jamey: yes and I'm the second boss
Addy: I’m the third boss, I’m the boss of my toys

Addy: mom we don't have monsters in our house anymore.
Me: that's good Ad, where did they all go?
Addy: daddy scared them with his taser.

Addy just gave me a big hug and said "you're the best mommy i've ever seen". It made my week

yesterday before jamey left for work Addy wanted to see him test his taser.... and then she said "oh daddy it's beautiful" he was very proud!

Addy just gave me a huge hug and said 'hey mama, i'm your sweetheart'

When I asked Addy what she wanted to dinner she opened her mouth and pointed to her chewing gum

Jamey: do you know what is next week?
Addy- My birthday?
Jamey- No, it’s going to be Christmas. Jesus’ birthday.
Addy- Oh we have Jesus’ birthday cake.

Addy: Hey dad hold my milk.
Jamey: Ok Addy why do I need to hold your milk.
Addy: So i can smell my feet.
Jamey: Do you like smelling your feet?
Addy: Yes, I dont have any shoes on.

St George Temple

We live a little over 2 hours from St. George and try to get there at least once a month for shopping. Each time we go, we try to make a little time to take Addy to the temple. She absolutely loves it!

On our last trip, I wanted to get some pictures of our family in front of the temple. There weren't many people there, so we waited until everyone else was done taking pictures. The last group was just leaving when I finally got the tripod set up where I wanted it. Jamey and Addy were getting in position when this family of about 30 people (aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents) stepped in front of my tripod and set theirs up. I was pretty upset, but I just sat there and waited patiently. Finally, one of the more observant members of their party came over and asked if I was waiting for the perfect lighting. I told him that I wasn't and that in fact I was waiting for everyone to get out of the picture that I was trying to set up. He looked a little embarrassed as he realized that his family stepped in front of someone else's picture. He tried to get everyone out of the picture so we could take one. I was pretty frustrated by this time because the sun was going down and everything was pretty shadowy. we decided to just take one quick photo. Turns out he didn't get the whole family out of my picture. How hard is it to be considerate of others and wait your turn?
