Halloween Fun!

Today was an exciting 1st Halloween for Addison. She had a packed schedule. Addy dressed up as the "Queen Bee" and was quite cute if I do say so myself. We went trick-or-treating at Grampa's office, where she was a big hit. Then, she had a parade at Grammy's work. She won 2nd place in the costume contest. which was exciting. Tonight we went to trunk-or-treat at the Church, but they were packing up stuff by the time we got there. Instead, we decided to take her to see Chelsea and Jan. They loved her.

Tonight while she was getting changed into her costume, Addison decided that she wanted to crawl. She's been trying for the past few weeks, but she finally got the hang of it tonight. We're in trouble now. She isn't very fast yet, and she's already into things. I'm worried about what will happen when she gets a little more coordinated.

We hope you enjoy the Halloween pictures!

Go Air Force!

We took Addison to her first Air Force game last Thursday. It was a great game, and Air Force won. It was a little chilly (about 38 degrees). Addy was very bundled up and had a blast. She couldn't get enough of all of the sights and sounds. She especially loved the fly over.

New Developments

Addy decided that she had been wasting her life away for the past 6 months and has kicked her development in high gear. As we celebrated her half-birthday, she decided that it was time to sit up by herself. I was beginning to get a little sad because it seemed like all of the other babies we know in her age group were already sitting, but she pulled through like a champ. She also decided that it was high time to try and crawl. It's quite funny to watch her, and she hasn't really gotten it down yet, but it's only a matter of time!

6 months

Today Addy turned 6 months old, and she decided that it was time to start sitting up by herself. I can't believe that it's already been 6 months. She is an amazing baby. I know I'm biased, but anyone who is around her knows how wonderful she is. She's just so happy, and we love her tons!

Update

Things have been going great recently for our little family. We moved back to Colorado at the beginning of the month. We tried to get settled in quickly before we headed up to the high country for Conference weekend. We stayed in the mountains at our friends house over the weekend and had a very enjoyable weekend. We had the opportunity to listen to the words of the prophet and apostles and relish in the beauty around us. We are excited to be back in the Rockies.

Yesterday, Addison got to experience her first live football game out of the womb. She experienced many in-utero, but I think it was a little colder and less cozy this time.

Today, Jamey got his acceptance letter for the National Park Service Seasonal Law Enforcement Training Program in Rangely. He will start that program in mid-January and will be finished in March. That means that we will be in Colorado for the next few months at least.

We are looking forward to the next few weeks and months. We bought Addison's Halloween costume this past week and are very excited to share her first Halloween with her. She will be participating in a parade at Grandma's work and then will go trick-or-treating at Grandpa's office. We, also, plan on taking her to a pumpkin patch in the next few weeks. I will make sure to post pictures of our Halloween adventures!

5 Amazing Years!

Today is the 5 year anniversary of my baptism. As we watched General Conference today, I contemplated all of the amazing things that have happened in the past 5 years. The two most important are that Jamey and I were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple and we welcomed an amazing baby girl into our family. I am extremly grateful to the missionaries who were patient and understanding with me. I have been blessed more than I could have ever imagined.
